Westonbirt with Lasborough Parish Council

Westonbirt with Lasborough is a small, rural parish of about 150 electors, situated about 3 miles south of Tetbury, in Gloucestershire.
The parish is
predominantly agricultural and residential, and extends from the Wiltshire
border in the south-east to the Lasborough valley to the north-west on the far
side of the A46 road.
It was formed in 1935 by the amalgamation of the two
parishes of Westonbirt and Lasborough, as described in the history of the parish
by British History Online.
The Parish Council has 5 elected members, "Councillors", who are supported by a part-time Parish Clerk. For details see Parish Council.
Apart from agriculture, the parish is the home for four other significant enterprises:
Westonbirt Arboretum is "The National Arboretum" and is particularly famous for
its spring blossom and its autumn colours.

Westonbirt School provides wide ranging educational facilities ranging from
pre-prep right up to sixth form and is situated in the wonderful mansion and
grounds created by the Holfords of Westonbirt.
